Hello,
Can anyone tell me what type of birds these are? A whole flock of them were at rest in a tree close to my backyard and I have never seen them around here before.
Thankyou,
K

wish there were HERE!!!
how beautiful they are
Oh thanks everyone! You are right, sure do look like Bohemian Waxwing. I will keep my eye out for them to come back.
Cedar waxwings are similar, the main difference I always notice is the white on the wings.
More pictures please when they come back!!!
I am so jealous! I have never seen Bohemian Waxwings. I saw Cedar Waxwings last spring. I had never seen them before in my life, and was so excited. Knew I had seen something special. I saw them again this spring 1 time and was thrilled to get a chance to see them again. They just pass thru and then they are gone from our area, I guess.
How lucky your are...how jealous am I!!
I am so excited. They were back again today! And in the tree with them was one of the cardinals and blue jays that come for their daily peanuts. However, when I grabbed my camera the batteries were dead. Too bad. They're recharging now in hopes of another appearance!
I hope you dont have any fruit trees.
The stripped thousands of cherries off our tree in less than 60 seconds.
lol
If that is what attracts them, I wish I had fruit trees so they would come back. LOL. But seriuosly, I think it was crab apple trees that they were sitting in.
