How many of you have "What's this??" seedling ...

Charlotte, NC(Zone 8a)

I have these so called seedlings of various types every year. I end up with seedlings that I do not recognize and I can swear by the seed packet that I took them out of, but they do not look like those from the envelope. How dumb can I be? I do this every year. The only good that comes of it is that you end end up with plants that you do not expect. Does anyone else have this happen?

More than I like to admit. This year so far everything looks OK.

I had a pack of seeds from a trade that the label had rubbed off. I have three seedlings from it. Mystery plants - how exciting!

Seedlings heck, I have grown plants that are a mystery to me. How on earth did they get here and what are they?????? LOL (pitiful isn't it)

This is only my second season.....I bet I have 20-30 different 'I have no clue' seeds. Even if I had a book of pictures of seeds, I can't imagine how thick that book would be and how long it would take me to go thru it...lol
And some of these I brought back from other places or I swapped with a local friend and said, oh here...just put them in this little cup'....how many cups are there? Don't ask....
At least I've learned a valuable lesson.

psshh if idk what it is and the seeds don't look cool and different, i just don't go thru the hassle of starting the seeds

But that's just it. They are cool looking and different! That's why I 'acquired' them...lol
