What a FRAGRANT Spring I am having....

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

Oh how I wished I could share the heavenly scent of my Jasmine I planted 4 years ago..it only gets larger with each year..this year it is growing up my Apple Tree..with them both in bloom along with my Lemon Tree...We had the most delicious winds last night so I decided to sleep with my bedroom windows open and sweetly drifted off to sleep with the scent of Jasmine and Lemon trees filling my senses

Look what I found in one of my "Decorative Bird houses"!! I had no idea some little birdie would make something of what I thought was an ornamental object for my gardens

Mr. Sam McGredy must have reallllllllly loved his wife to create such a breathtaking namesake of a rose just for her!!..You have to see it in person to know just how HUGE the blooms are!!Talk about a heavenly scent....

Very pretty blooms JeanneTx ~ it IS a delightful time of year. Wonderful the weather is nice enough to keep the windows open and hard to imagine our cool spell about 10 days ago.

Jeanne, I love seeing what does well for you since we are so close....how do you do it? You must have some potent mojo juice to get your roses to look that great!

your birdie nest looks like you are going to have little wrens

They will freqently nest in hanging baskets, too. Right now I have some building a nest on my porch.

Here is a pic of some from last summer. they were in a hanging basket of sambac jasmine

this is what the eggs look like.

Their nests are very distinctive, and usually have sort of a tunnel entrance.

Looks as lovely as ever, Jeanne.

Those birdies are too cute! My kids have about 8 bicycle helmets each. Every time they leave one sitting around in the garage a wren takes up residence and I have to go buy another helmet.
