Central, AL(Zone 7b)

For those of us that grow brugs in moderate climate, and middle South region, as well as those up North. Have you current blooming brugs to share?

Here is one of mine.

Your flowers are beautiful. It's still to cold up here for anything like a Brug to bloom. I just got some of the seeds you sent the last time to germinate. Yea!

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Kim, I have some aphid covered Maya buds in the basement. You don't want to see them. X's Isabella thread is about all a "northerner" like me can take this time of year. Seriously, PLEASE everyone post yer bloom pics, they really help me make it till Spring.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

B. At least aphids are easy to control, though they're truly pestyyyyy! b/w them and spidermites. I'd have to chose one lesser evil than the other. And my choice would be aphids over spidermites. Cheers, spring will be here sooner than expected. I'll post more pics. on further development of my season on brugs. :-)

Nothin here to speak of... One on Mountain Magic.. One on Jamie's Monkey Biz.. but they were beaten to bits by the wind.. so that's it for now.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

You're right, Kim, spidermites are worse. I hope all the 3 & 1 I've fed them keep the mites away... I also sprinkled some worm castings on the soil in the pots last fall. Robin, congrats on your germination! I'm waiting. Joyce, so sorry they were mangled, more buds? So, Kim what is your gorgeous brug? It's blooms are as long as the plant! Beautiful form, too! You have tulips and hyacinth blooming!!! Lovely pic! How bright and colorful.

The pictured is my darling Milk & Honey a cutting that I acquired last July. This is its second flush of blooms. Although, its coloring isn't fully developed, the first day or so when the flowers unfurl. Its fragrant is yummy. It's a keeper. Oh yes, I lost all my Jean Pasco cuttings before I could see their beautiful blooms. :((

Here is the last few bloom of M & H on its first flush in the gh.

Oh! my! What a beautiful site. What a nice picture. I am counting the days ....I have a few dafs that are comming up. I just love spring..

Mmmmmm beautiful! is it called Milk and Honey because of the fragrance? My new one smells like milk and honey, you know like honey stirred into warm milk ...such a surprising fragrance compared to the others. Love the background ...talk about a touch of Spring :)

Hi Chrissy; I think the name is attributed to its colouring? (Just my guess), since its true color is of a creamy, peachy in nature? The color should deepen by tomorrow, I'll post more of the flowers tomorrow. The cutting is still young yet. The flowers almost touch the rim of its pot also. Lovely brug!

Beautiful ... look foward to it :)

The weather is a little windy & overcast, bring the plant outdoor bit too early maybe? Anyhow the plant doesn't appear stressed. But, the color hasn't deepen as they would have normally? This is M & H this morning.

Back to M & H; in close up there are speckles of peach courloring to it. I'm waiting for the color to deepen, but the creamy white for now is attractive in the spring garden. :-)

The tulips however are the main feature of spring's arrival here. :-)

beautiful pictures!

my adeline is setting buds in the greenhouse. can't wait to see her bloom for the first time.

Spring has sprung in your lovely garden Kim and now the parade begins ...I'm thinking you get more spring than we do? spring our way often jumps up into high 80's within a week or two. What are your Spring temps like?

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Kim, I moved closer to the screen on your close up, breathed in real hard, I swear I could smell it! lol Thanks for the spring time pics! Oh, Tom, I still feel like a newby when I'm waiting on a new bud to pop, it's always exciting. Waaaaaaaaaaaaa I want spring here!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Hi B, hang in there, spring isn't too far away. Dispite late spring prediction by 'Phil' this year. I think it's right around the corner. And yes, M & H is very fragrant, I haven't met a brug that doesn't smell good to me lol.
Chrissy, in the South our spring temp. is very nice. Only it doesn't last very long. In general it's anywhere b/w high 30'ish F. to 50F. night temp. high during the days fluctuate anywhere from 50-70F. However, we get lots of wind and stormy weather accompannying the season.
Today, the sun eluded us. Forcast is calling for moderate storm on its way. But mostly a day or two it will be back to sunny and beautiful.

Here is how M & H looks today.

Ok, ok, just for B. I give you another pic. close-up. As far as the fragrant, I have to find a way to bottle it up and send it to you? lol. I went out to the yard and crouch down to the pavement to smell them last night, so I knew they're wonderful. Oh, also I've move my blooming Pentas outdoor. So if the moths are around, they can enjoy the nectar and pollinate the brugs. lol.

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

I have 6 Sauv. x Sauv pink/peach babies about 3 inches tall but no peach s. white x peach x pink yet. I only had 3 seeds that actually had seeds in them the rest were blanks.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Hmmm, looks like I will send you some cuttings for postage. Hang tough, as I've many babies to plant. There will be plenty of cuttings at the end of the season. Hopefully they'll bloom first so you can see what you'd be getting.

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

You are so sweet. Thank you so much. Let me know when you have them ready and I can send postage but please do not hurry, all those babies come first and of course enjoying the smells.
