Banana overgrew its pot

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

I experimented last year with planting certain plants in the ground but still in their pots. That way if I wanted to move it the next year it would make the move a whole lot easier. It worked really well. But when I pulled up my Lasiocarpa banana I was shocked how big it got in such a small pot! Check it out.

Here is a closer look at the pot.

I think it's time to repot before it busts itself out of there! LOL

I put it potless back in the ground this year. I'm hoping it might flower!

LOL, I had that happen with several EE I sunk in the ground here too. Same 12" pots from Lowe's as well. Your banana definitely takes the cake as the largest plant I've ever seen in a pot that size though. That's pretty wild.
