Looks more like an alocasia or a xanthosoma than a philodendron --bwilliams, what say you?

LOL I get called out on these odd aroid IDs. Lariann may know more on this one than I do. As she has done more of these type of crosses. It is a philodendron and looks to be a hybrid. I am guessing the hybrid maybe Stenolobum x Selloum.

That Philodendron is indeed a hybrid, although the parentage is unknown. I have been in touch with the son of the person who did this cross; it is called Philodendron 'Theodore' and to me looks as though it has some P. bipinnatifidum in it. I have a specimen of this plant that I obtained directly from the source. Mine looks just like that plant, only not as mature. I did P. selloum x P. stenolobum and although there are some similarities, there are plenty of differences as well. So I do not believe the P. 'Theodore' is that cross. There may be more than two parents involved, as is the case with some of my newer Philodendron crosses as well.

LariAnn, If it helps? I got my Philo. from JESSE DURK'S nursery in DAVE, FL. Jerry

Jerry,
Yours is different from the P. 'Theodore', as the Theodore has deeper lobes and longer leaf blades. They are also somewhat puckered. Yours looks a lot like my cross between P. selloum and a species I call "dwarf speciosum".
