Stuffed Jalapeņo

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Here's yesterday's Stuffed Jalapeņo . . 8" or so; the brown tones get fairly green in hot weather, hence the name. Matt has it.

That is spectacular Barry! If Matt's got that one available now I may have to go back and add to my spring order! Or is this one that you just gave him?

Alvin, TX(Zone 9a)

Yeah, does he have this yet? Sooo pretty!

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

I can't wait to get this one. It will be worth every single dollar and more!

Tulsa, OK

This one's definately on my "got to have it" list! Wow - it's a beaut!

San Bernardino, CA(Zone 8b)

I can see he's going to sell out of these quickly! I've gotta get on the list :-)

You'll have to contact Matt, but he has had it since August so he probably is ready to sell it or nearly so. I appreciate your enthusiasm, folks. This was bred from "Roz Merritt" which I named for a good friend and past pres of Am Hib Society. He and Pat have long been Hibiscus ambassadors in Houston and across the country. It was my pleasure to honor him with a namesake bloom, and it has yielded some improved varieties like Stuffed Jalapeņo.

Matt or another FL grower MIGHT grow Roz Merritt because it placed pretty highly in Hibiscus of the Year competition . . last year, I think it was.

Here's the bloom.
And thanks for listening.
peace and warm weather,
Barry

Bad news...no Stuffed Jalapenos yet! I emailed Matt about this one (and of course added a few others to my spring order in the process!) and he said it won't be available until July :-( I suppose I can be patient!

San Antonio, TX

curious bout where ya'll are ordering from. I'd like to see what's available too; can u share?

Here are the three that I think are most people's favorites (I'll also put the owner's names in parentheses since we talk about them a lot by their names rather than the company names...you can tell you have a hibiscus addiction when you're on a first name basis with the owners of the mail order nurseries!)
