This is on my list of my all time favorite brugs. The perfectly formed, large bell shaped blooms are always produced in large flushes. Obviously she does well in the heat because this is her 3rd year in south florida and she is thriving. If you live the very warm zones of the U.S. this brug should be on your "must have" list.
Painted Lady
OH, Thank You.
I have some of Lady Liberty X Painted Lady coming from seed. I will be so excited to see blooms - someday.
She is Wonderful.
Oh my that is beautiful. WOW, great color. I have been looking for a bright pink, this may be it. Of course all the pictures you post are wonderful and I want every one!lol
Linda
wow I can not wait for mine to bloom.....James
Looking great Gary ! I am so envious of your weather. I just planted my Painted Lady outside and her blooms are really pale pink since we are still so cool.
We have just picked up several Painted Ladies and will be planting them in several places, in the sun, in the shade, in light shade. It is good to know she can handle the heat. Serendipty in another pink that does good for us in the heat. Thanks Gary.

I bought a Painted Lady this past fall. I must put it in the ground instead of a bigger pot. Will it come back brom the roots if planted in my zone?
Sorry Betty I can't help with questions about overwintering in your zone. I can tell you that if that is your plan you want to get it in the ground ASAP so that the roots have the best chance possible of becoming fully established in the ground.
Here's Painted Lady at night. From memory I can tell you she has a wonderful fragrance.......only from memory though....
boooo hooo....:{
This week-end it will go into the ground. I dream of a flush that size. Right now, I hope that we don't have a late freeze.
Oh gosh, Gary, she's absolutely gorgeous!
I have some Painted Lady seed crosses growing and I certainly hope I get something one fifth of the beauty of yours!
wow, awesome picture.
i have seedpods on one of my PLs, i tried different crosses and they all set pods. it's definitely one of my favorites!
Wow.. lovely pictures! I am so ready to plant in the ground... I just have to buy a new back somewhere! LOL
