I stopped quick at the grocery store tonight and I saw the craziest looking broccoli. It looked like a bunch of spiral seashells. The only name I could find on it was coral broccoli. If I wouldn't have been in such a rush I would have thought about it a bit more and bought one, just because it seemed so odd.
Does anyone know anything about these? I have another meeting in town tomorrow, and I might just stop by the store and buy one.
Coral Broccoli?
Your description sounds like something I grew about 3 years ago and I wasnt real crazy about it but Linda loved it. I see it every year for sale in town at a pretty prolific market garden so some body else likes it.Give it a try you may like it. Ernie
goggle broccoli veronica and see if this is what you saw.

Sounds like Romanesco:

There are quite a few cultivars of Cauliflower, Romanesco. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher%5Bcommon%5D=broccoli%2C+romanesco&searcher%5Bfamily%5D=&searcher%5Bgenus%5D=&searcher%5Bspecies%5D=&searcher%5Bcultivar%5D=&searcher%5Bhybridizer%5D=&search_prefs%5Bblank_cultivar%5D=&search_prefs%5Bsort_by%5D=rating&images_prefs=both&Search=Search&searcher[common]=Cauliflower,%20Romanesco Territorial Seed does label the variety Veronica as broccoli but it is cauliflower, Romanesco. Other venders label it as such.
That's it! Thanks! I learned something new at the grocery store, of all places. LOL
Thanks!
