Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

or other small flowering varieties. i am also interested in non-climbing ones. but any will do. i am only wanting rooted plants. take a look at my trade list and lmk if there's anything you like. if you see many cultivars of the same plant i prob. have other varieties not listed so just ask. also, i don't mind waiting for you to root the plants. i don't mind waiting because you will be saving me considerable money. so get on out there and root me some. lol.

Mama.. I have Clematis ligusticifolia.... C.brevicaudala.... C. integrifolia... C terniflora... and C. virginiana. That looking for new homes.

The only one that just now popping back up out of the pots is C. brevicaudala. These rae ones started from seed last year and were planted in one gallon pots at the begining of last year summer.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

Ms. T., they will not. but they might want to come and get a peak at you just to see why i am so interested in getting back over there to see just what you have going on now. everyone... this girl is like the sweetest little fairy girl with her plants. flitting here and there doing beautiful little fairy things. and she reminds me of my best childhood girlfriend. tropicanna sounds like her but ms. t looks like her.

oh, starlight, it's you. i don't even know what most of those are but i just know i'm going to want them. let me look them up and i will get right back with you. and be looking to see what of mine you might want. this is a happy clem-AH-tis day for me. lol.

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Barb-
My garden isn't very presentable right now...it is just barely waking up, so not much to see. Maybe you, and Dawn and I could meet for lunch and swap in person while we are at it?

You never told me that about your childhood friend. I am honored! Do you still keep in touch?

I'll have to tell you a little story about a fairy(the only one I have) with a watering can, over lunch

looks like you picked the right time to post for clematis...you are gonna be hooked up

starlight,
What do you want in trade for those Clems, if mamajack doesn't take them all?
Hello Taylor!

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Hi Melva :0)

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

now, how do you 2 know each other? lol.

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

I don't want anything. I need to find them homes. I started them out as a seed sowing experiment. Which needed chilling and which didn't and who popped heads first and such and had several of each kind.

I busy with my project growing and stuff and don't really have time to baby a few odd plants.

Probably now would be a good time to dump the pots, give them a bath and send them more or less bareroot and let them finish waking up in their new homes.

Got Mamm'as dmail of the ones she wants, somebody else asked for a couple and stil have some left , so if ya want some Melva send me a dmail and you can have some too.

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Melva lives in the same town as my mother.

taylor, my friend and i don't talk or see each other any more. i want to see her but it's been so long i am afraid she won't like me anymore so i don't call her. we were 18 the last time we were together. when i talked to tropicanna on the phone i was in sort of a daze because she sounds so much like her and has her same insane, clever david letterman hysterically funny wit that i was just mesmerized the first time we talked. you have the same small frame and delicate features and hair and beauty. i think the day we have lunch i'll call tropicanna at the same time so i can see paula and talk to her at the same time. lol.

Seedpicker, I'd love a texensis if you have an extra, been wanting to try it for awhile, you texans have the best natives! I don't have a thing on your trade list though, anything else you might be looking for? How about another native clematis, c. drummondii? It's a year old, and I have no idea if it's male or female I'm afraid, my mother plant still hasn't bloomed even though I've had it for 2 years- last spring it was uprooted for a tree removal, this year I'll have blooms. I have other things that are not on my list so if there's something you're looking for, you never know, I may have it :)

Lynn

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

lynn-
I will have to see how many I have left before I promise anymore. This is one that I didn't have very many of...
They always go fast.

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9b)

I'll bet they do!

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Just saw in my park's seed catalog that they are offering Clematis texensis 'Princess Diana' for 12.95

here is the link if you are interested:
http://www.parkseed.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StoreCatalogDisplay?storeId=10101&catalogId=10101&langId=-1&mainPage=prod2working&ItemId=44186&PrevMainPage=textsearchresults&scChannel=Text%20Search&SearchText=clematis&OfferCode=V1H

These are more red, than mine have been turning out to be, and I've seen these in person, and they are also a larger bloom than the regular texensis.

Hi Taylor!1 Where have you been hiding? Puppy pictures please!!

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Hi Marie-
You are one of the people I've had one of these promised to, and I need to send you one before I accidentally trade it off,lol...
d-mail me :0)

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

I still want puppy pictures though!!

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9b)

Sigh, in a 2 1/2" pot :( I do prefer the plain texensis, though. And the plain viticella as well. If I don't find one for trade this year I will probably break down and buy them both next year, if I can catch that texensis in stock anywhere that is lol

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Most people prefer the larger hybrids,

I am still going through emails to check and make sure I have names on pots before I promise any more. I have this thread flagge, and will contact you If I have any remaining

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9b)

Thanks T :o} If you don't have one for me I'll just have to sneak over to marie's and grab hers....she'll just think the gophers got it anyways ;P

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

taylor, if anyone has ever seen a real texensis growing wild they would want one. they are the prettiest things. but you know i am doubting that it was texensis i saw growing over in fort worth. i am thinking it might have been pitcherii now. you think?

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9b)

I have pitcherii as well and I think it's fabulous, almost like a small treat to see those bright small bells. Mine is very purple

Hiding that one from me Lynn???

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9b)

lol Grown from seed from Rodica's plant ya nut :) I have more seeds to sow that she gave me in the fall, have to get those down somewhere, am hoping to have plants to share with everyone.

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Yeah but I still did not get to see it!!

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

colors are not always exact on film but the one i saw was very purple. that picture is lighter. and it was such a surprise to be strolling through the woods and come across it blooming.

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9b)

Oh, you mean last week! It is not blooming now, that pic is from last year. It does have some very pretty green growth though!

Barb, you are not kidding. Come warmer weather in the high country here there will be wonderful surprises!

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

you ain't got viorna, do ya? lol. musta been pitcheri i saw then. but you know how i loooooove red.

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Thanks T you trying to get me in more trouble than I already am. I have been ordered to buy no more plants!!

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Marie-
my hubby has put that rule on me so many times, it is now a joke. He couldn't ever fully stop me, ...like stopping a freight trane, lol

Barb-
I have one viorna...just one for myself, but no extras, sorry. It produced one lousy achene of seeds last season, but none of those seeds has sprouted, yet.

I only have extras of pitcheri, and crispa.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

now why do you even want ONE red flower? you know you oughta give it to me. hahahahahahaa

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

I looked today, and found I have a few extra texensis.

Azreno~contact me by d-mail, and we'll see what we can work out.
