My dad just sent me a link to a wonderful website!
http://digital.library.pitt.edu/a/audubon/
Pitt has Audobon's Birds of America (complete set!) plus his Ornithological Biography, and now they've digitized them and put them online. You can go through the volume plate by plate, and you can zoom in on details of the illustrations. It's just magical!

That is great . Thanks critter!
Critter, what a beautiful resource and so full of information about the birds, too.
The biographical resource link has beautiful text about each bird too.
Pelle, this might be something for the sticky thread -- Audubon's work is such a classic.
I'd love to see it added to the "sticky" -- it's such a wonderful resource! I think it's so cool that Pitt put it all online like this.
