these were wintersown so they are already hardened to the outside. looking for named clematis, kniphofia, salvia, hardy vines to 8a, asiatic or orienpet lilies, callas, cannas, mums esp. cascading and other flowering perennials. thanks. barb

Are you interested in hoya? They do well in hanging baskets if you want that cascading look. Don't know the species but the butterflies and moths enjoy the blooms. Have no idea if they get nectar from them but that doesn't stop them from congregating on them. I've seen numerous medium sized moths on them at night.

mamajack....are you going to the college station RU? I would love to get one of those seedlings for my mom. If not we can mail, I'll look and see what I have. If you are looking for hoyas (either of you) I've got a whole kitchen full....lol.

As for the hoyas, I had one piece that had rooted in the ground by my tree in the backyard from the summer. I left it to see how long it took before it died. You know, it took until we got into the low 20s one night before it was a goner. I was impressed!
