Which lights are the best? Looking to purchase them and would love some input from others who have them.
Under water lights
I hope you get some good responses to this 'cuz after seven years of ponding I've yet to find a reliable underwater light brand. It's replace, replace, replace the bulbs. Plus, mine are only in the water from April until November. I like them enough to put up with constant hassle.
Snapple, do you use the 10w or 20w? I think I could put up with the hassle of bulb changes if its worth it.
I have both. The 20w's are in a 2400 gal koi pond and the 10w's are in a 480 gal goldfish pond. The 10w's are much more problematic than the 20w's. Don't know why. Each system is installed and maintained according the manufacturer's directions. They are just pains in the rump. But Oh So Nice! to look at the waterfalls lit from under the water at night.
How many lights do you have in your 2400 gal pond?
Three underwater and one out . All are wired direct to one transformer. The same bulb in the same fixture blows periodically. DH, who is pretty good at things electrical, has closely inspected and tested all the circuitry and can't find the short.
The small pond has three lights. Two in the water and one out. They just blow willy nilly. A lot.
