Alaskan Clydesdale

Seward, AK

They have to let him out in the fall to play with the girls, but he always comes back. They raised him from a calf and he wouldn't leave the draft horses alone, so there you are...

Oh my goodness! That is really incredible! He is humongous! And apparently he earns his keep. Wow.

Williamsburg, MI(Zone 4b)

Cute photo, but I don't think I buy it. You couldn't get the yoke part of the harness over his horns. I think someone is REALLY good at photoshop. It is funny though.

Sorry its a fake check it out on http://www.snopes.com/ and look under fauxtograghy, everyone should check out the site, they have pics and a lot more, it has every urban legend you can think of whether its true or fake! Do not look under fauxtography- gruesome if you are squimmish, they have some REAL and I mean REAL pics of humans etc that really are gruesome.

You're right,Jylgaskin and LoraK, it's a doctored photo. I couldn't help but make your day, but here's one from my childhood. He was never to be trusted, though he was famous and used for hauling freight and tourists around Seward back in the 30's and 40's. You had to sign a waiver before boarding the sleigh. My siblings and I were never allowed on the sleigh.

Great pic!! I heard that moose cannot be kept in capitivity because they don't live very long out of the wild. I read/heard somewhere that the moose in the beginning credits of that show set in Alaska with Dr. Fleisman and the female pilot.....what was the name of that show....having a grey moment.....didn't live very long, they cannot get something (other then freedom) that they need to survive in captivity that they do in the wild. Maybe thats an urban legend!! LOL It is a good site.
