I am looking for any variety of fern, and green houseplant. I am starting over, so the trading is not something I have to offer right now. In any case if you would share for postage, please just dmail me. Thanks so much
CLOSED: Will Pay Postage For: ferns and houseplant starts
I am going to sound DUMB. I know there are thousands of plants. I am not picky. I like vines, I like long leaves, I like plants that bloom, cati, you name it. I realize there is a plant file here on the site, but I just haven't had time to look over it yet (for names). That being said--I am just trying to start back with some things here in the house. When my kids were little, what I didn't give away I lost. The kids are not 9 & 11, so I have decided I want to build my flowers back. I just can not go and buy, buy, buy. (you know how that goes, shoes to buy instead of flowers.) I will start with anything that someone will share for me sending the postage. Thanks
I'm also looking for some houseplants.... Its harder than it sounds, isn't it! I'm trying to pay for college and not pay for my mini houseplant obsession... its an uphill battle. :)
I tried to claim my roommate's fern, but she took it away when she moved. One thing I did do, though, is invest in two african violets... they're so easy to grow that I'll have a room full of african violets in no time.
So... if any of y'all stil have any houseplants left after you give some to shops4seed, I'd love to trade or send postage! :)
Andrea
Sorry! Made a boo boo.

Why thank you. You are absolutely right. Sorry.
I need to catch up on some things before I start offering to pack plants or cuttings, but I'll put a "watch" on this thread. And, tiger, you just need to swing by here some time... we'll snip away at anything you want a cutting of and send you home with lots of "starts" for pots and hanging baskets!
I was trying to create green effect in my office earlier in the season and found that once you figure out which plants can grow in your conditions, it's easier (and cheaper for some common plants) to just ask the owner for a little cutting. So I made a list with the DGs help and started visiting my co-workers offices with an "open eye" for plants on my list :) I even asked for a cutting at my dentist. Plant lovers are always happy to share their treasures. Just a thought ...
