Dalmation advice

Silver Lake, OH(Zone 5b)

We have become unexpected parents of a brother and sister pair of Dalmatian /black lab dogs who are 8 years old. Their mom elected to live in a place where she could not take them after their dad died of cancer and they lost their only home.

We have five cats.

These dogs were encouraged to "go get em" or "squirrel" in the park, off leash... now they think our smaller cats are funny-looking SCARED squirrels.

Then, the male nipped a 14 year old girl on the nose while he was giving kisses. Odd thing. He's been so mannerly otherwise besides trying to mangle our kitties...

So ... with this being the situation, what insight/advice can you share? We are thinking they may need MUCH more exercise than I, a disabled person, can give them... and they are basically VERY sweet, loving doggles. They just want to be with you. :)

I will look forward to your input.

Thank you so much, and love to you!
