Is this a little to much?

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

Bought a couple of kayaks today. I'm thinking this whole color scheme maybe screaming gay. People are starting to wonder about me. The trays of seedlings aren't helping and I'm afraid this set up won't either. Actually my DW's vehicle.

Well now for manly stuff. Another pine tree bit the dust. This one was blocking the sun from the fruit trees to the left. The tree next to it was hit by lightning a couple of years ago and was cut down last summer. It was all rotted inside which left this tree kind of sitting there by it's self.

Still many left over pines, this is to the right of the one I took down.

You mean the kayaks/SUV colorscheme? I think it's great!! It screams "Yuppies" to me. ;)

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

Hey, I have a bright red kayak and a red SUV. Way too old to be a yuppie however; my kids are yuppies. :-)))

Ahhh..... A long time ago, in a land far away (California), I lived in the land of the Yuppies (Silicon Valley). Here, I never see any and it does my heart good when I do. lolol

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

I do show some yuppie traits but in general I'm not very trendy. I'm headed more towards eccentric.

Ooops the orange truck and kayaks were to much for the guy down the street. He just put out a for sale by owner sign. It was to much for him.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

LOL, I got busted by the ARB for having my kayaks in a place (in my yard) where they could be seen by others - from across the marsh. Heavens, what a blight on the neighborhood.

I wish I could remember the guys name in Sea Pines who got cited for having a row boat in his yard. He filled it with dirt and flowers saying it was a planter. He refused to pay the fine because it was a planter. Same guy who bought 1500 acres in Jasper county on the way to Savannah and put a deed restriction on the deed saying the land couldn't be sold to anyone named Sherman. LOL.

Last I heard he went BK and was in Texas where he recently was arrested for trying to bribe a sheriff over some business he was in. His name is on the tip of my tongue.

Henry Ingram. Think that how you spell the last name.

what is a yuppie?

Grantsboro, NC(Zone 8b)

LOL the older I get the more yuppie I am turning. I never considered myself one until I realized my actions of getting older.

Its a 30- 40 year old person who is rich and spoiled and very conservitave.
Baby Boomers

even tho I am 58 I think I am turning into one but I am middle class and am trying to live on retirement.

1. I now eat only wheat bread
2. I am taking a Thi Chi class

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

Well, that will do it! LOL :-))))

The actual definition of Yuppie is Young Urban Professional - means an upwardly mobile young professional that has a career with increasing income, and has all the "toys" to show it.

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

Here's one for you. A DINK. Dual income no kids.

Tia chi? I smell yuppie. Do you go hang out at star bucks afterwards? Sipping lattes?

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

oh i get it! thanks now i understand

I am in Jabip (just the other side of BFE), now no coffee shops. We are around the corner from Oriental NC-Sailing capitol of North America. Our county and I am telling you the whole county only has 13000 people living in it.
I really live in a very small community called Kennels Beach. Winter population maybe 25, summer 200 maybe on holidays.
We have 4 grocery stores in the whole county.

If you're ever in the Charlotte NC area try the new National Whitewater Center.
