I have this plant here and it is called Lipstick "Mona Lisa" I thought it was in the family of Hoyas but I think it is in the AV Family well the question is
Is there something wrong with my plants the leaves are lite brown it is not in Direct lite and the soil is moist

Here is a picture of it. It says that the leaves should be dark green. Did you get these wet and then they got hot?

Dimmer: That is Aeschynanthus (Lipstick Plant) but it does not look like Mona Lisa. I see a red pot, so I think it might be one of the Exotic Angel plants and they are always mislabeling their plants. I found these Lipstick Plants in PF but I dont' see one that looks like yours: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher%5Bcommon%5D=&searcher%5Bfamily%5D=&searcher%5Bgenus%5D=aeschynanthus&searcher%5Bspecies%5D=&searcher%5Bcultivar%5D=&searcher%5Bhybridizer%5D=&search_prefs%5Bblank_cultivar%5D=&search_prefs%5Bsort_by%5D=rating&images_prefs=both&Search=Search I have one that is a Variegated Lipstick and when I first bought it the leaves were all green and then began looking like yours. I thought something was going wrong with it when I saw the markings on the leaves. The variegation isn't a lot but I think that plant of yours is probably the Variegated Lipstick.

I think if you put your plant in brighter light it will begin to get more variegation like this plant!

Diane
I got this a Lowes a couple of weeks ago I was thinking (Oh NO) that the wrong tag was on it The leaf is thick like Hoya but it has not gotten hot I did when I first got it took it to the sink and sprayed it off. May be to much water or not enough lite?

Lovely room, Kim and that East light is perfect for plants!

I vote with Lin..........give it more light........get it closer to that East window. Mine get sun in the winter but not in the summer. Don't overwater either. I act like I know what I am talking about, but I think you have a winner of a plant in that the variegation will come out with more light and they tend to bloom with cooler temps also. Mine are all blooming because the temps are just perfect right now outside.

In the winter a southern exposure isn't too much sun at all. In the summer the southern exposure is too strong but not in your zone.
