I got up early this morning (1a.m.) to take my dogs outside and was surprised to hear a duck flying over the house, quacking the whole time. I know it is unusual behavior....anybody else recall seeing or hearing them during the overnight hours (beyond the normal night birds).
Night flyer
Maybe a predator had disturbed it's nesting area.
From what I have been reading, that does seem likely.
Ducks often fly, and feed, at night. That's why they're usually asleep when you see them during the day.
Resin
I never knew that, Resin. Thanks for the info.
