Hello from Southeast Alaska in the Rain Forest
welcome from upstate new york. we have a few alaskans here on the web site.
Hi Ned,
Welcome!About 3 years ago, my husband decided we were going to move to Juno LOL. He even went and applied to the Juno Fire Dept as a Paramedic. Shortly after that we found out we were expecting (high risk thing)so that dream got put on hold. He fell in love with the place though and still wants to go back. I did a lot of research on the area and it looks like a wonderful place!
Your going to love this place, lots of great people, great information and an impossible amount of information on just about anything green you can imagine. What sort of gardening do you do? I'm sure you'll find some kindred spirits here at Daves!
Joey
Hi Ned... I found you!!!! Welcome to Dave's! Did you know that you can set-up your home page ANY way you want? You can include or not include the type of information you want to see and also "position" it the way you want!
Have fun,
Linda
Welcome Nedhudson1 ! What a beautiful picture that you posted ! I do envy you ! I hope you enjoy Daves Garden.
Soapwort-That's a picture of Thorne Bay(the town) That I took from a logged of knob on the other side of Thorne Bay(the bay).Pretty small town-only 470 residents.
Beautiful !!! Welcome to Daves.Cindy
I thought that might be your town ! It's gorgeous ! It looks so peaceful and serene. How is the gardening there?
Soapwort-the gardening is very wet.We have a lot of cloudy & rainy days during the summer. We can't grow some things that need heat & bright sun to mature.Corn, tomatoes & melons don't ripen at all.Leafy vegs & root vegs do pretty well.
