Problem with Trend Micro House Call

I have been happily using House Call for a few years- today when I went there, there is an option to use a beta version, so as always, I did. It went all through it's scan and I told it to remove what was found- there were 27 malware infections. It gets down to one named TROJ_DELF.DAC and hangs up there, and my CPU usage goes to 100% and freezes everything up. I rebooted and went through a 2nd time and the same thing- still have 27 infections because I aborted the scan early. So how can I get it to complete the removal-any ideas? BTW, I have XP with all the updates, etc.-plenty of ram, etc. All help will be appreciated- Jo in WA
