Is symphytum belsay gold a form of comfrey

I thought it was beautiful when doing a search for it.

Does anybody know of any other varieties like this one? I hadn't a ny ideas that there were Variegated comfreys out there. I would suppose it's ornamental?

I found one at variegatedfoliage.com but don't try to order it, as I did 2 weeks ago, and I haven't heard a thing from them after faxing in my order and calling 3 times, no one is home I suppose.

There is Goldsmith comfrey (Symphytum grandiflorum 'Goldsmith') that has a yellow margin to the leaves. Then, there is a creeping comfrey that has yellow flowers (Symphytum grandiflorum).

So what is the one I mentioned? I saw it listed on that web site as a comfrey? is it a comfrey too?

Symphytums are comfreys. If you are looking for the medicinal aspect of comfrey though, stick with Symphytum officinale, not the ornamental comfreys, which belsay and Goldsmith are.

Do you know wher I can purchase the belsay gold? or goldsmith

I don't know about Belsay. Goldsmith can be found at Well Sweep Herbs in NJ, along with a red flowering comfrey.
