CLOSED: Have: Confederate Rose Crowns

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

Have 4 Confederate Rose Crowns. These are well established 5 year old plants. They grow to over 5 feet tall. They are just starting to come out of dormancy. The flowers are doubles and seem to change color every year, from cream with pink splashes to solid pink. They usually throw singles at first then move on to doubles.

It cost 9 dollars to send them Priority, Flat Rate.

Will trade for postage
Double Brugmansia cuttings
Red or yellow Butterfly Ginger or other fragrant gingers hardy in my zone of 8.

Please d-mail me with Confederate Rose in the subject line.

X... do you cut your back every year, or do you just let it grow? I have some that are like 4 feet tall and in pots and they was cut back once, but I don't know if your supposed to cut them back every year or not.

I cut mine back after the 2nd frost. If you don't, they don't seem to come back and bushy and full.

When the blooms come out from cream with pink splashes do they stay this way or does it turn solid pink after a day or two of opening? I have the solid double pink but have never seen these colors on it.

The ones with the splashes stay that way.

I am definately interested in the bi colored one since I already have the solid pink double. Don't get me wrong....I love the double pink but I already have three huge trees in my yard.

Here's what I have for you to pick from.

Hedychium flavescens
Hedychium 'Daniel Weeks'
Hedychium coccineum

Thanks,
Daisy

I think I need to stress that the colors change every year .. sometimes they are the bi colors and sometimes they are all pink. I think that the weather has a lot to do with the colors. They seem to go pinker in weather with cooler nights.
