…you've had a serious talk with the Juncos; "Really guys, I love you, but time to head north and take the weather with you."

Love this idea for a thread Mrs Ed! I'll put the tea/coffee on! I used to live in upstate New York many years ago. & remember the long seeming endless wait for Spring to come.
This apricot tree is the first thing to bloom in my yard. Blossoms opened Feb 29 this year. :-) Pretty huh!

Yah, you think I'm kidding, Angele??? I totally googled Elephant Butte and got some home prices for there and Las Cruces! LOL.

We have lots of Snow birds here :-)

It fels good out today. I was seeing a hundred goldfinch at a time; now I only see twenty. I guess the others have started north. Now they mainly are eating the thistle.

The spring flowers are starting to bloom.

The trees are starting to bud.

But best of all you know it is time for spring when the birds start coming to the feeders in pairs.

I have got lots of seed sprouting.

And its almost spring when the daffodils are peeking!

Wow Grandmaggie! that's great. I suppose I might have some of that stuff if my whole back yard wasn't one sheet of ice. Supposed to warm up next week though so i can see what I have. You can always count on the chives to green up soon.

Your green thumps is itching to work the ground. So you decide to start, your seeds inside, way to early, when you know, you still got over 4' of snow on the ground.
