Just wondering if anyone has grown this melon or has any suggestions for a couple of good varieties to try.
has anyone grown Creme de la Creme melon?
Have not grown that one, but the ones that folks thought enough of to include pictures in Plantfiles are listed here. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher%5Bcommon%5D=&searcher%5Bfamily%5D=&searcher%5Bgenus%5D=cucumis&searcher%5Bspecies%5D=melo&searcher%5Bcultivar%5D=&searcher%5Bhybridizer%5D=&search_prefs%5Bblank_cultivar%5D=&search_prefs%5Bsort_by%5D=rating&images_prefs=with&Search=Search&offset=0
I checked the Cornell Site and it does not appear that anyone there has grown it either.

Thanks! I will check those links out...
The description in the burpee catalog was so enticing I thought it was worth the money to experiment...I have heard ambrosia is another good variety.
Ambrosia I've grown and they are excellent. Nice medium size melon with sweet meat.
