Hi, I just wanted to share with everybody that i ordered 15 Golden Manchurian Coturnix Quail eggs. And I ordered a new Chick-Bator.
YEEEEEHAAAAAAWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ORDERED QUAIL!
Congrats! Stupid question, are those the good eating ones? My friend wants me to find her father some hatching eggs, he LOVES quail but she doesn't know what kind of quail.
if it is the one with the yellow base and clear dome roof it is not very good i have had so many problems with it
i don't know anything about quail that aren't wild. but i am guessing by your exctiement that you are EGG-CITED! Happy for you chickenboy? Are your chicks going to be jealous?
Let us know when they arrive.
tf
Hi, yes they are the meat kind i highly dout we will eat any and yes its the little yellows dome incubator, but i watched a quail hatch in one with my own eyes and plus im in the progress of building a homemade incubator out of a tubbaware container and 2 light bulbs coming through the top and i don't have chicks yet i'm getting about 4-6 bantam chicks this spring though oh and those eggs are off ebay so tell your friend to go to ebay and type in hatching quail eggs and walla there they are lol!
yes when they start hatching they put them in so people think it works but if you use it the whole way through then you get problems
Hi, it doesnt matter about the incubator i built one that sticks at 100 degrees and stays there its an aqua-bator lol! Nah but its a 10 gallon fish tank with a 60 watt light over it with a small bowl of water for humidity and my eggs came today March,7,2008, i ordered 15 he sent 16 but 4 were cracked so i have 12 sitting in my ''aqua-bator'' lol.

about 15-16 days to go and they hatch i flipped them today, and checked the temps and it was 100 still so it's working good and im working on a styrofoam cooler incubator but i can't get thyem temps right it gets 110 with a 40 watt bulb so i will try a 25 and hope it works.
homemade bators tak a lot of trile and area but once u get the hang of them they work perfect
Good luck with your quail eggs, Chicken! When you said
"I flipped them today", did you mean that is the only time
you have turned them? You may already know, and forgive
me if you do, they need to be turned 3 or 4 times a day.
may princess kathy not find me in this forum :oP
