Blue flax in sun?

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

I have some blue flax seeds and am trying to decide where best to plant them. I have a bed that gets full sun (on west side, no shade) and others of varying degrees of shade. Would they do ok in the full sun bed? I'm still trying to decide what to put there besides the roses and morning glories.

I only have experience with L. perenne and it does very well in full sun. It is growing under a climbing rose and doesn't mind the extra watering.

I've started L. lewisii from seed this year and expect it will take full sun too, from reading I suspect it is going to like poorer soil and less water then L. perenne. Good luck I love those tiny blue flowers!

Thanks. I've lost so many pretties to our sun. I have several other sites that have varying degrees of sun/shade and they need things too. Just trying to find that perfect "spot" for them.
