Thank you for the reference to Silver Star Vinery Kathy. I just ordered C. Piilu and recta purpurea from her. With the order of viticella, flammula and japonica from Brushwood and last years durandii, heracleifolia, niobe, texensis, Gurnsey Cream, Duchess of Albany, tangutica, henryii and The President, this Summer should be a delight. Until I saw how good the non-vining varieties look along the garden paths in this forum it hadn't occurred to me to use them. Henryii did pretty good last year for its first year.
New plant orders
Wow you have some really nice varieties. Love the photo - very pretty! Can't wait to see some photo's of your babies this summer!!
What thread has the pictures of the non-vining ones? I've been looking for pics like that but can't seem to find the thread.....
I don't know of a thread that shows pictures of the non-vining type Clematis Digigirl. Try google and look for non vining clematis. That is usually how I find stuff, or post the question on the Clematis forum and see if someone else knows the answer. Good luck.
This thread shows pics of integrifolias.

what size pot are they in and how much $$
Four inch pots and the price varies from about $12.00 to $20.00 depending upon the plant. They have a good on-line catalog.
I just love viticella. That is one of my favs. I bought some for two dollars at a big box end of season clearance in fall 06 and they bloomed like crazy for most of 07 summer. Cannot wait to see them this year now that they have had some growing time.
I ordered Blue Boy, Polish Spirit, Mrs. Robert Brydon, Lady Betty Belfour
Etoile Violetle (2), Harlow Carr (2) and a few more that I don't have written down.
I put Mr.s Robert Brydon where she can climb over a rock at my stream -Debbie suggested that would be beautiful. Sent her pictures of areas that I needed clematis and she made suggestions.

I can't wait for my 10 to come...still have snow so Debbie knows when to send mine...Kathy you gotta post pictures once they start blooming!!!A few she sent last year had flowers on them..
I'll take pictures and post. These were great and she's sending my next box out Monday so I need to get these holes ready. She said to mix bag manure, 10-10-10 fert. and peat together and put in the bottom of the holes - really deep holes so the feet of the roots are just barely touching the mix of peat/etc and cover with the soil from the hole. The top of the plant should be about 1-2 inches below the dirt at ground level. So I dug my holes before the plants arrived and made my mixture and had them ready for the plants.
I've got Crystal Fountain and Florida Sieboldii coming from Silver Star at the end of the month! I'm very excited. I'm sure they're going to be gorgeous!!
I have another order being shipped out today. Can't wait.
Kathy
Nice clematis shitzumom!! Debbie is awesome! She has the best clematis. Dan at brushwood is also great!! I order a lot from both of these companies and they are the best out there.
Never tried Brushwood. I'm sticking with Debbie cause everyone I've gotten is coming up great this spring and I've never seen roots like these.
Plus, she's great to take time to talk and help give me design ideas from my pictures.

I just emailed with Debbie and she's gotten a few orders from DGers today and yesterday. I'm sure you'll be happy.
