I went on a search through a local poultry club for a couple of piglets and one person raises Tamworths, after he sells the all potential breeding stock off the rest are sold for as eating pigs. They are $10 more than the average priced piglet. He said they are great bacon pigs and have excellent tasting meats. What do you think of them?
Does anyone raise Tamworths pigs?
Sorry never raised a Tamworth but if he states they are great bacon pigs, they must be long in the body which would give you more chops, too!
Hadn't thought of more pork chops. Thanks I am going with the them, I might as well get them from a local anyways.
