What is the best way to root cuttings ?

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

Hello, I am new to hibiscus, mostly growing Brugs, Plumerias and Gingers. I have built a couple of hoop-houses so I now have a place to keep them through the Winter. When I learn how to root the cuttings I would like to start collecting a few.

And here's another, just in case http://www.rozpat.net/Basics%20and%20Beyond.htm

Those links present the same advice I'd give. I cut pieces about a foot long, strip off any leaves from the lower six inches, gently scrape some of the outer greyish surface from thelowest three or four inches, dust with Root-tone F, and put them into premade holes in a pot of promix-bx. Then I push the soil down around the cuttings thus inserted, and keep them irrigated for a couple weeks. Interesting that one of the links mentions that for some reason a bunch of cuttings in the same pot seem to do better than singles. When I think back on my successes, they have usualluy been when I put lots of cuttings into a single pot. In any case, after they;ve rooted, I put them in a larger pot-size hole, with a slightly coarser mix --say half promix, half the surrounding soil. It never seems to fail, provided you keep them lightly watered and don;t allow them to go completely dry.
