I bought one of these labeled as such a couple years ago. The thing is now a bush about 4-5 ft high. I've not yet seen any flowers or fruit but one of these days...
I'm just wondering about what I have. I just looked up Lychee in the plant files and there are several. I guess I have to wait until I get fruit in order to id this tree beyond lychee nut, right?

I checked the ones that are in Plant Files, and with one exception they're all different cultivars of the same species, Litchi chinensis. I think you're going to have a tough time figuring out which cultivar yours is if it didn't come labelled with a name (and if it didn't come labelled with a cultivar name, there's also a good chance it is just the straight species and not a named cultivar). The other plant that's in there which isn't in genus Litchi more often goes by its other common name Rambutan, so I think chances are pretty good what you've got is Litchi chinensis.
