What's the difference?

Asbury, NJ

What's the difference between a blue wyandotte and a blue laced red wyandotte? Welp's sells blue but I've only seen BLRW pix. Any help would be appreciated!

Blue is just that - Blue. BLR is predominantly red based with blue outlining or "lacing" of the feathers. There are great pics of both here http://www.feathersite.com//Poultry/CGP/Wyand/BRKWyand.html

maineiac, thanx. Any idea where i could get some BLRW and just a few chicks. Murray McMurray only has st. run for sale and 25. Just looking for a few layers. Thanx~

If you wait another year, I may have some, but I don't know of anywhere that has small orders available. McMurrays has a limit of 6 per customer, but you would need to add another 19 chix to get the min of 25. You could order some broilers, or something to make up the complete order.

i found some from a breeder in CA on ovabid.com
