Hello all!
I don't have a clue as to what type of owl this is, but I kept hearing something outside and went out and he posed for a few pics. Any idea on type?

Thank you Resin!
What about what I call a "barn owl"? They are pretty good size and do the classic hoot, hoot.

Screech Owls almost never screech.
Barn Owls don't hoot-they screech.
Great Horned Owls and Barred Owls both hoot and neither screeches.

So, old I guess you are saying I have great horned owls?? I guess I have never heard anything screech. I think I need to get on the net and clear this up.

Screech owls come in both red and grey phases. Yours is obviously a red.
