Azreno;
I broke the first seedpod and soaked them in water yesterday. The seeds appear flat, and they remain afloat the whole time. Perhaps, the seeds were not mature enough? Could you help?
Thanks.

Hmmmmm, I have always waited until my seed pods were just opening before taking seeds, that way I know for sure they were fully developed. The seeds should float though, some may be sinking by the end of the 2 days. If the seeds are good they should start to germinate quickly.

It's possible that the vine got nibbed off by early freeze, thus the pod did never cracked open. I may just have immature seeds. I'll wait another day and sow them and see what will happen. Thank you.

Try the coffee filter germination method on some of your seeds. That might work better. The seeds I have too are flat and float. I am going to try germinating them using the damp coffee filter or a damp napkin. I hear they need light to germinate, so you can't bury them until they germinate. I think you let the sow on the surface of the soil.

Thanks Becky, I've another 24 hours to soak the seeds. Will try the coffee filter. I've good success with germinating with the method with my first try with Senna alata seeds.
