Bonnie,

Do you think it could be a nitrogen deficiency?
I THINK I have heard to use epson salts or fish emulsion to help with this?
Are they getting too much light or staying too wet?

Yellowing of leaves is one of those things that can have a multitude of causes. Over watering is probably the most common reason, especially if the yellowing begins with the older leaves as appears to be the case in your photo. Other possible causes include certain nutrient deficiencies (seen more on newer growth and/or all over) and insect damage (like spider mites).

If over watering is the culprit, a number of factors can play a part like the type of soil or soilless mix you are using and whether you are using some sort of capillary action system. Some 'soil' mixes hold water longer than others and, therefore, require less frequent watering. If you are using a capillary system (bottom watering, self watering) the soil may be too heavy such that it holds and takes up too much water.

Hi All; I have used epson salts & that really did not help. i do use the mat system for watering & my mix is 1 pt. pro mix, 1 pt verm. 2 pts pearlite. i never had a problem like this before & my mix has stayed the same. maybe i am watering to much? thanks for all the replys. it always helps.

The soil in your photo's look to be very wet to me so I would guess over watering is the culprit. Over watering has always been a cause of yellowing leaves for me. I've heard that an iron deficiency as well as a deficiency in other nutrients can cause yellowing leaves in a lot of plants but your other plants look so healthy, I'm betting it's a bit too much water.

Hi;
I am hopeing your right,i know the picture looks like they are wet, when they really are not. but i will wait to see if possibly thats it. maybe not watering regularly,letting them dry out to much.

Mrsbonnie...I had some streps awhile back where the leaves were yellowing like that.I thought maybe some kind of buildup of salts in the soil so I leeched them all really well till the water drained clear and that really seemed to help mine alot.Might not be the case with yours but might be worth a try?

thanks for the tip, i am going to repot alot of these & see if that also helps.
