I found this little guy a few days ago. He is about 15 feet and in a different bed that the only passi I had last year. I hope I get some more suprises!

Congrats on the new baby! Some people think of this as being invasive but I like surprises too.

Nor sure. Incense maybe? I had a few last year and all of the leaves were similar. I didn't think any would come back, especially that far away.
I love "Incense" and the butterflies will too. I have heard that passiflora will drop their leaves in cooler areas and go dormant but they will come back in the spring. Hopefully that will happen to yours. Obviously the roots are still alive since they sent up a runner.
And here is the same plant today. She is taking over my Double Delight rose as well as my honeysuckle. I can't cut her back or dig her up. What should I do? I guess I will trainer her up and around the rose bush and up the honeysuckle.
She's grown about 1.5-2 feet in 6 days. This is her today.

Why thank you. I feed it Miracle Grown, and treat it with the SprayNGrow solution (SprayNGrow, Coco Wet, and Bill's Perfect Fertilizer). I think it's called "The Perfect Solution" or something like that. I've never had growth like this before. I have also treated it twice with Messenger.
There's been lots of talk about messenger ... some believe in it, some don't. I need to use up what I have. Looks like it work for you!
Beautiful! I just planted an Incense and was thrilled to see your growth and those beautiful blooms. Do the gulf frit cats like this one for food? I'm hoping so, because I planted it in my butterfly garden. In that case, I hope it gets eaten away periodically so it doesn't take over the entire wall I planted it on... it's a patio home and that wall belongs to my next door neighbor!
They will eat the Incense. The gulf frits over here in Louisiana don't seem to be too particular--they will eat incarnata, caerulea, nephrodes, coccinea, Incense, Blue Eyed Susan, Anastasia, and probably quite a few more.
I have 2 gulf frit cats already this year, and they are on my Incense eating away and getting fat. Will they eat morning glories too? I hope they leave my p. White Wedding alone.
Thanks LA mark - I'm going to watch for them. I had a red passi last year that not a single GF visited, even though I saw them. I finally took it out, because it was invasive and no BF's. Haven't seen it again so far. My butterfly garden is in a very narrow side yard between two patio homes. So far the wasps are controlling the monarchs on the milkweed, but I'm hoping if I keep adding more plants for a wide variety of BF's that the wasp's efforts will be diluted. I also have fennel, dill, and rue for swallowtails.
