Help it's sick?

I do not know what is wrong but the one plumeria I had ordered has a problem
instead of trying to explain what it looks like on the leaves I took a picture to post in hopes that someone can tell me what is wrong and what to do to fix it so it doesn't spread to all the leaves or the other 2 I have.
It has 3 branches and they all have leaves on them...at least 2 leaves on each looks like this.

You may have sunburn; either that or I'm thinking spider mites.

well I did move them out side mmm monday when it was soo nice out
do I spray them like I do roses when they have spider mites with warm soapy water top and bottom of the leaves? I don't' find nay lil webs though or anything on the leaves other wise..this is the one I ordered from the place online not the ones I got from you.

It may be shock from being moved into the sunshine. Just cut off the nasty looking leaves; they'll make new ones :-)

ok so then I shouldn't be moving then out in the sunshine just out in the shade on nice warm days?...don't mean to sound dumb but I want to make sure I do things right I don't want them to die

It does look like burn of some sort. Did you use a oil product like Neem when it was warm out? Sun burn on the leaves is more of a browning and drying, I think, but it is hard to tell from the picture. Just pull it off as Hetty said. New ones will grow in quickly when the growing season starts.

Most of my big trees have been outside all winter, and they do get some sunburn on the stems where leaves used to shade when the trees had leaves. Leaves can sunburn too if the plant is not acclimated to full sun or hasn't been in the sun for a while.

If your trees have been inside and protected, then, yes, acclimate them slowly to full sun when you put them outside for the season.

If I just may be a little more precise: the received opinion is to cut the leaves off (leaving about an inch of the leaf stalk which will fall off by itself in a few days). There have recently been discussions about pathogens entering the plumeria through the scar that is left when the leaves are forcibly pulled off.

Almost looks like they have had something reflected on them. Are there any windows or mirrors around that would magnify the sun in spots? Our plumies love sun, but we don't bring them inside ever, so they are used to it, and I've never seen sunburn on mine, but did notice something like that on an aphelandra leaf that was being reflected from a bike mirror. I moved the bike, and never saw anything else. Good luck Mibus!

I put them outside this last monday it was almost 80 out thinking the fresh air and sun would be god for them never thought about the fact they have been inside since they came to me since it was still cool out...I should have just set them so they got a lil bit of sun in the morning then shade the rest of the day.
so from now on I will slowly introduce them to the outside and sun shine ...thank you all for your help
I so want to do good with these and can't wait til they get flowers

hi phyllis,

i first though sunburn when i first saw it. just from the photo one can tell that the leaves were most like;u grown under lower light conditions. they are very shiny. i go with sunburn. just ease them out into the light.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

I keep them in side until the danger of below 30 is gone but they are by the window so they get the morning sun then it is light all day and since I know now I will make sure to slowly ease them into the sunlight when I put them out side on nice days ...they will start out more in the shade with a lil morning sun.

i set mine outside last weekend too and got the sunburned leaves that look like yours--i felt so bad--i forget that the sun is still powerful even when it is not hot--i am glad everyone seems to think it will be ok--i did not pull the leaves off --and was afraid to water much --

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

I had a few more leaves fall off but new ones are coming out already...it hasn't' been nice enough to go out since so they are staying by the window for now LOL

That is burn damage...
Spidermites will never do that..
It is not from chemicals because all the leaves will turn yellow from toxicity unless that leaf got some over spray on it.
I agree with others it is from the sun or a cold blast..

Thanks everyone for the help I have now moved them to the greenhouse instead of in the house so they can get the fresh air and sun but still be shaded and I am watching the weather so IF it decides to get low again I can bring them back in the house

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

Mibus2, they will thrive in the greenhouse just for you...do something special for your birthday! Have a great one!

LOL Thanks Shari I sure hope they do.
the one I posted about has lost all the brunt leaves and new ones are coming out...one of the 2 that I got from dutchlady is green on the end and looks like leaves are starting on it and th other one is starting to look like it is trying to send out leaves too and I am waiting on the seeds to start coming up too LOL

I did I went out and worked on diggin bamboo roots out this afternoon and I slept in this morning and DH took me to Texas Roadhouse for supper.

It would be nice if the roots were all cleared out then I could be working on the veggie garden and decide where I want to put the blueberry bushes, the calla lilies I got at home depot 50% off and the astillbe and bleeding heart bulbs out.
LOL
