pruning stuff..

Sorry to be so non-specific, but I have lots of things involved:). I've been reading here and elsewhere as well, and thought that I read not to prune roses and other stuff until mid-March. Well, the roses have lots of new little leaves, and the others (butterfly bush, wedelia, crape myrtle and some kind of viburnums) seem to be growing now. Is there a site where I can find when (and how) to prune various shrubs? Something with "Idiot" in the title would be good.....

Hello neighbor, I live in Piedmont. You can prune butterfly, crepes and roses now. You can prune the viburnums now but do it only mildly. Do you want me to d-mail you my e-mail address? I am not the best but I'm not bad. I will share what I know.
