Here is our latest rescue. Penny brings our grand total of dogs to 29 now and we are still sitting at 7 cats. I found Penny on the freeway, no collar, no chip, covered in fleas and running like the wind. It's been 3 weeks now and not a soul has called about the wee vixen. Le sigh, someone must be missing her. But we always say that. Rescued dogs are the most grateful and we always wonder how in the world people could dump such a darling. But oh the stories I've heard. Anyhoo, I parked her out at my mom's place with her 2 of her own chihuahuas and one older one I rescued last year. She seems to be settling in a little at a time. Oddly enough she showed no fear of our Great Dane. I guess she had a big dog in her life at some point.
