Hi from Snohomish,Wa

Snohomish, WA

Guess I am a little late getting here. I am a gerdening geek, who is begining to find out there is a lot to do on this site. Best money for my garden I ever spent was being a member here. Co-ops, seed and plant trades, and what I think is the coolest, work parties! A real community of people helping people! Dove right in head over heals, thus my tardiness! Plan on being a member for a long time! Thanks Dave! I entered you for a Pulitzer Prize! Gordon

Hello Gordon welcome to Daves. You are right many good people and much knowledge. I hope you will find a home on one of the regional forums, it is really helpful.

Oh the Master gardner I am not! But I have dabbled and studied a bit. My garden is a work in progress, as it should be. But thanks Tammy. And I couldn't have had a sweeter mentor, even if I am just a lowly subject! :)

Welcome Gordon,
I am new here too.... dont know if I can help much in gardening advise, but I'm learning alot about this site! The people on here are absolutely wonderful! (princess tammy being the MOST wonderfulest (sp?) of course!)
I dont know about never buying another book though! You have to check out the list of recommended books on this site! Now I have a bunch more books that I HAVE to buy! LOL!
thats okay tho, cause I am saving oodles on plants, now that these DG'ers have turned me into a seed aholic! lol!

I am on my third cycle with my 72 cell system. Started some caster bean, gourds, and diffrent vines. I am attemting to cover this.I have alot of books, but I can get an answer here in minutes, while I am chatting away like now! That is what I call user friendly!
Thanks for the warm welcome Annmarie! See you in DG land!

Your not trying to cover up that flower are you?! lol! it looks like your lot is twice the size of mine! and I have a huge, ugly stone freeway wall that goes all along the back of the lot (no trees like yours!). We plan to move to the olympic penninsula in 3-4 years, so someday I WILL have a fence of pinetrees instead! :)

I too am trying to do something with the dirt lot that I inherited... hopefully will get alot done this year :)

I love this website and the conversations while learning, its lots of fun :)

Sorry wrong pic. And 5 acres is alot! Glad I don't mow the whole thing! Go buy two goats, they will easily clear it in no time! It's nice out ther by Sequim and Port Townsend. Pretty drive and nice weather. There are lots of cool nurseries over there!

I think this is going to be a great gardening year!

Hey look! You can preview before you send! haha :)

lol, ya I found the preview button yesterday!
My sis and mom live in Olympia area, we are looking at Port Orchard area...Plan to go look some more later in the summer. I absolutely love it up there! spent many summers in the sol duc & hoh rainforests :). I've always been a country gal, never did like the suburban cities (nor the prices!). My hubby will be retiring, and I will just transfer to Olympia for work...but the commute wont be too bad at 3 days a week :)

Wow! Fremont to Port Orchard! That's a change! Real pretty and the commute will be worth it to live there!

Welcome, NWG. Way to use the Welcome Mat - I didn't even think to do that. So much to see on this site.

Oneanjl - you should come visit us on the Pacific Northwest Forum. There are quite a few of the peninsula-ites there and they'll be happy to give you their ideas on where to live.
