Drama Queen poster

Stafford County, VA

Thanks to Mrs Ed, we now have a very nice collage of some of the begging titmouse fledglings. Here's a low resolution version she made for you to see here on the forum. We'll have to ask her how she did it and where you can find the 15 MB poster size version.

Oh, that is way to cool! I want one!!

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

Looks like you have a winner to sell on the new auction site coming soon here.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Hi Everyone.
Dave has graciously allowed us to purchase our own posters in any size you want. Here's what to do.

This photo has been added to Walgreens.com and Wal-mart.com's photo centers.

Add this photo to an online album of your own in the Digital Photo Center, and easily order reprints or posters at Wal-Mart or Walgreens. If you don't already have an account there, you may create one and add this photo to your account. Then you can order up any print you want. One caveat: Although this poster is in High Resolution, both websites are indicating that it is not high enough resolution for larger size posters. This should not be the case. I have ordered a large poster myself to see. It will get in next week. So if you want something large, you might want to wait until I get my sample.

Have fun, and THANKS to Dave!!!

Edited to say (just for the record) that this poster is for the personal use of Dave's Garden members, not to be sold for profit, yada yada.

PLEASE NOTE: Changes have been made to these directions, please see the bottom of the thread before ordering.

Thanks Dave and Mrs. Ed! Very cool!!!

Stafford County, VA

You're all very welcome. The real thanks goes to Mrs Ed. All I did was snap the pictures.

Incidentally, I just signed up and ordered one from Wal*mart in the 20 by 30 size. Supposed to be able to pick up at my local store on 10 March or so.

Dave...it is so nice of you to share this with us and Mrs Ed your contribution is so appreciated also! This is just the thing I need to brighten the long days without sun!! I agree that in the future any new creations would be wonderful on the Dave's Auction! This has all the earmarks of a nice business venture...and I will be a big fan!!

Many thanks again Dave and Mrs Ed,
Rose

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Well Rose, I think it was YOU who asked for the poster, so we'll have to thank you too for the idea!!! ;)

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

I just ordered mine from Walgreens...not sure how long it will take to get it but I plan on having it matted and framed and will hang it above my computer desk. I know I will laugh everytime I see it..! Oh goody...another present for Moi!! LOL!

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

I think it is 3-4 days processing and then whatever shipping you choose.

AGAIN, I want to say that if you are ordering a large size, you may want to wait…

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

An 8 x 10 delivered to my house with tax was only $3.00
Thank you, thank you. I will surely enjoy this for many years.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

I picked up a little 4 x 6 and it is cute… cute… cute. I might have to get post cards!!!

Now you all can have fun captioning each dramatic attempt this little one makes.

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

Post cards! Oh, my, yes! I bet they would be really nice.

Melbourne, FL

Very cute, well-done and great idea!

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

Got my 8 x 10 today and was dissapointed. Seems they cut off both ends. I guess I didn't look at the preview close enough.

But how do I get an 8 x 10 that shows the whole picture?

Marlton, NJ

Maybe Mrs Ed would know.

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

Thanks pell, I also emailed the customer service about how to get one printed fully. I didn't notice that the photo is longer than normal.
That is fine, I just want the whole photo showing, it is such a fine print.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

I see what you mean by the 8 x 10 preview and I can honestly say that I did not originally think that this would be ordered as a print in that size (the original file is actual 20 x 30 poster size). If you cannot get an acceptable response from Walgreens, I'll make an 8 x 10 version. I will not be a problem

I would contact them and ask them to re-print it for you. I think that there is a lot of automation at places like that, and they probably need someone to look at it before they go and crop it willy nilly. The problem is, you will have white up at the top and bottom, so it would not be so aesthetically pleasing. Hmm, Guess I should just do an 8 x 10 anyway.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Okay everyone, here's the latest.

I got my poster print today and it looks fine. When you look at it close up, the text might look kind of fuzzy, this is "normal" in this case (basically a big photograph instead of actually printing). When you hang it and stand back, it will be fine. However, I am going to replace this file because I found a little artifact or two on one of the pictures.

I am also Adding an 8 x 10 version to accommodate those of you who do not want a poster size and that ratio. Be sure to preview your selection.

I'll let you know when it is finished.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Okay all, here you go… two new files. One for poster size and similar proportions and one for 8 x 10 and similar.

Walmart link to come. For some reason they are not updating the link for me.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

It's not working for me this time.

Marlton, NJ

Mrs Ed, Could it be done through zazzle; the one where all the Daves stuff comes from?

Danvers, MA

Keep us updated! I definitely want to get some postcards!

Thanks Mrs. Ed and Dave!~

Shan

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

Thank you very much for all your work and advice. I did contact Walmart and maybe they will reprint it for me.
I really appreciate the 8x10 size, this will also work for the smaller sizes, thanks again.

Stafford County, VA

I just got back from picking up my poster from my local Wal*Mart. this morning. Pretty nice. I don't see any problems with the resolution, even at 20x30 inch size.

Thanks again,, Mrs Ed.

Dave

Marlton, NJ

Oh very good!

How do you do the Walmart one, the link doesn't work?

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Okay, here is the Walmart link (they had to send me the link and it came in "late").

http://photos.walmart.com/shareethumbnailshare/AlbumID=24721475/albumcount=1/p=28231204591607997/l=11123385/g=8467866/cobrandOid=1011/otsc=SYE/otsi=SALB/pns/share/p=28231204591607997/l=11123385/g=8467866/cobrandOid=1011/otsc=SYE/otsi=SALB

Nanny, send me a Dmail with your email address and I'll plug that in to the Walgreens "share" feature.

Pelle, I'll check out Zazzle.

Marlton, NJ

No thats okay, I just mentioned it in case the other 2 were having problems.

Marlton, NJ

Dave, Did you order it in luster or glossy?

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Looks like Zazzle IS an option (sharing with DG friends). A few bucks more in general for basic poster. However, they have more premium/quality options for posters (for more $$).

There are probably hundreds of places that can accommodate us (shutterfly, kodak, cvs, etc.).

I chose Walgreens and Wal-mart because I thought they one of them would be "local" for most members. I guess if someone cannot be accommodated by one of the two, we can add to another.

Dmail me if you have problems!!

Stafford County, VA

I ordered it in glossy, I guess. Actually, I don't recall being given the choice and what I got was glossy. I am happy with it, though.

Next time I will probably look at the options more carefully. I was in a bit of a hurry when I signed up and placed the order.

Dave

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

ATTENTION: READ ME

Dellrose has informed me that her print of the poster was also cropped at a smaller poster.

Darn it!!! Please forgive me!

So, I guess we can continue as follows (for either Walgreens or Walmart). Everyone please hold off on ordering if you want a different size and I can make versions for all sizes of posters. It's pretty easy for me to do at this point, so don't worry about that. I'll post the info here on what to order. For instance, the 20 x 30 is the same proportions as the 12 x 18 and the 4 x 6 photo.

Okay NOW to order the poster version (titmouse_poster_fin_new) if you want 20 x 30, 12x8, 4x6,

Okay NOW to order a print in the 8 x 10 size.

If you want an 11x14 or 16 x 20 poster, Please wait until I have created it. Ditto if you want a 5 x 7.

Any other sizes, please let me know.

Whew! Please forgive me again for not thinking it through. We'll be set for our "next" project though!

I could not do what you have done if my life depended on it and your work on this is moocho appreciated!! I would have pulled my hair out at this point and be completely bald!! LOL!

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

Dito. We are all thankful for all the work you have put into this. You are the very best.

I just ordered the 8 x 10. On preview it looked good. I had gotten the luster, because the last one looked good.

The walmart customer service said that they would refund my money, either return at store or by mail. The photo was only 1.96, it would cost more to return, so I am not out much. If I lived closer it would be ok.

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Walgreens is refunding my $ and I get to keep the one they sent me...how cool is that?

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

That is great!
Good customer service for sure.

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

You've done a great job, Mrs_Ed, nice to be able to get it in different size. I really like the post card idea.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Maybe we can do a Best Of… Dave's Garden Birdwatching Forum postcard.

Something to think about…

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

NOW OKAY to order 11x14 or 16 x 20 poster. Use the same links as above. Please choose the item named: "titmouse_poster_Bsize"

Don't forget to preview in case I'm still a goofy gus.

Enjoy.

(5 x 7 to come)
