Is it too soon to start parsley seeds? I have curly leaf parlsey. Last year I ran out of plants for BF and this year I want to grow my own so I'll have enough. I'd like to do some in stages so I'll have plenty. Any advice?
Thanks,
Dawn

Sure Dawn it's alright to start some now.. Maybe indoors is best until frost is past.... Sow some outside too it should be alright. I have found that it is never too late or too early to plant Parsley. You might also consider planting Fennel and Dill also, even Carrots and Parsnips work as host plants, and they are extremely hardy.
If you get plants in the fall and protect them next winter you will have bushes of Parsley to welcome BSTs in Spring. I didn't even cover mine this winter because it is so hardy, and our winter has been so mild herein 8a. I have a very thick Parsley patch now.
Will take a pic tomorrow, it's too dark now..
:-)
Great! I think I'll so a mix then.
thanks!
