What are these tiny red spiders webbing all over my plants?

What are these little red spiders? Are they spider mites? And how do I get rid of them? I'm over wintering Brugs in my sunroom as well as growing seedlings inside. I have several other invested plants, an Argentina Salvia, a Desert Rose, passion vine and several more They look like red live dots clustered inside webs. Help!

That does sound like spider mites. How I usually handle them is take the plants out and give them a good hosing off, then if the infestation was really bad I'll also spray them with neem or insecticidal soap when I'm done. I repeat the hosing off every couple days for about a week until things seem under control. Even if you prefer to handle things with pesticides, I really do recommend the hose technique to remove a bunch of them, that way it's not such an uphill battle with the pesticide. Whatever treatment you decide on, I would also do it on any plant that was sitting anywhere near the infested ones, even if it doesn't look like it's infested yet. Then try to keep the humidity in the area up a bit, the spider mites like it dry.

Also, don't panic if your plants lose some leaves down the road after you think you've got rid of the mites--it sounds like your infestation is pretty bad, so it's likely they've already done a lot of damage to some of your leaves, so the leaves may eventually die and fall off from the damage that's already been done. But assuming you get rid of the mites, they should put out new leaves and be fine in the long run.

Thank you so much for replying . I'll spend the day today taking them all outside then. It's going to be a pretty day to be outside anyways.

Make sure you get the underside of the leaves.

Ok, will do. What about the soil. Should I flush the soil or repot with new soil?

I'd certainly flush out the soil and repot. Clean the pot and saucer it grew in, too.

Ok good, I think that would be the best to do too since I'm taking outside anyway. Might as well make an afternoon of it.
