Along the same vein as my previous thread, a yard that is now fenced and the deer aren't keeping it mowed for me anymore. Things creeping up all over the place that I don't know what they are. Anyone know if this has any beneficial attributes? Thanks,
Annie
what is this pesky vine?
By the looks of the leaves and the flower it looks like a type of Four O'clock.
Do the flowers open at night and are the scented?
I thought the foliage looked familiar but couldn't place it. I believe Frostweed is correct. But it would be too early for blooms just yet here.
Well, I will have to say that I rarely see flowers on it but maybe that is because they open at night. I will investigate further when they come back again. The picture was from last year. It really does have a vining type of growth, it will climb the fences and cedar trees, though not get very tall, maybe a couple of feet. Do Four O'clocks climb?
Mine don't, but there are many kinds, and some of them do vine, of course I could be wrong on my guess, maybe later when they bloom we can find out.
Josephine.
well look at that photo again. isn't that a bloom in the lower right?
Yes it is, and that is what led me to think it is a four o'clock, what do you think?
i think you're right as rain. lol.
