Hi, I've just recently joined and have started putting together my Tradelist. I don't like some of the photos that were automatically generated beside my entries. In particular, a pink mirabilis came up but I am breeding peach coloured flowers and those are the seeds I am offering. I found a better photo in the Plant Files database but could not figure out how to replace the pink one for the peach one. I saved the photo on my computer and then uploaded it into my entry using the "Browse" button. Now it appears that it is MY photo and doesn't give credit to DG or the member who owns it. One member already thought it was mine and complimented me on it!
Thanks, and by the way, I should have my list finished and a lot more seeds to trade in about a week, around March 5 after I get back from my seed-collecting trip to Nicaragua!
Newbie needs help with photos!
It might be easier if you delete the first entry and enter it again with the right photo if you can.

If you use the forms provided to fill in your haves and wants, if you fill the info in correctly using the proper name, the picture will be put in there for you, unless there isnt one in the database, in that case you can supply a picture. It's a pain to fill out, but boy did I learn alot of the proper names of plants doing it.

Gourd: Thanks, I'll try that forum. Problem is I don't know how to change 1 PlantFile photo for a different PlantFile photo. The same 1 kept coming back to haunt me lol! That's when I tried downloading the 1 I wanted and then uploading it again. I think I just need more practice!
Kathy: The picture that DG put in automatically was a mirabilis, but it was a pink one and I didn't want to show that and then say I had seeds for peach. I'm sure I'll get it figured out soon.

there is a link to use to add your own picture right there in your have list. the last box on the right has

Delete
Picture
choose picture and you can browse on your computer until you find it, then you can add it.
I dont know if you have your have and wants list set up yet or not, in case you don't go to mine and look in the last column on the right.

Thanks again Kathy. That's what I did to upload that photo that's there now. The problem is that Dave's always puts your name on it so it appears to be your own photo lol! Everything is fine now and I'm going to the Post Office tomorrow to ship out a batch of seeds already!
Vanillaman, that peach colored mirabilis is very pretty. Hopefully, we can trade with each other, some day soon. I would be interested in coffee seeds, too. Welcome to Dave's garden, by the way. Talk with you later, have a great night.

Thanks Lucy! My coffee beans are the best. I roast and grind my own everyday and drink way too much of it! I have lots of those mirabilis seeds so shouldn't run out. They don't stop growing and flowering here.
