Some fish in my pond

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

Had posted pictures of my pond and my water lilies - esp. the blue ones. But had not posted much of the fish that resides my pond. Here is one. I have forgotten the names of the few fish I have - some 7-8 varieties. I can remember the guppy, tetra, tiger barb... only. The red ones have multiplied nicely.

As always, such a beautiful pic! Thank you for sharing with us. The sight of all of those buds on your lily has given me a SERIOUS case of zone envy. Where I am the unheated pond has a thick layer of ice one it and there is an inch or so of snow on the ground.

Zone envy! I should have said Zone Pride??! Thanks.

Dinu,

I too suffer from zone evey! Great pictures. Thank you for sharing.

Great photo Dinu. The orange-red fish in the picture are either platties or sword tails. If some of them (the males) have a long point at the end of the tail they are sword tails. If no long points then they are platties.

Thanks Carolyn and Betty. Yes, the males have a long point at the tail ends.

Total zone envy.
I had to hack through the ice on my pond and basically reccessitate my gold fish.
LOL.

Quite a circus that? Each winter?

Yup. It sucks lol.
Wouldnt be so bad because they're coldwater fish, but gases can't escape when its frozen solid and there's dead vegetation. :(
