I have had growing on my fence for 2-3 yrs now a red passi (Vitifola ? I think) No problems great bloomer. But would really like to share and haven't had any success starting cuttings. It doesn't fruit or form seed pods that I have been able to detect. Anyone out there have a good method ? Even tried air layering ..... nada !
Help please .
Hi all newbie here, help w/propagation
The more cuttings you try, the easier it will be. Dip in rooting hormone with fungicide. Try cutting 20 or so and place in 50/50 mix of potting soil and Perlite. Keep moist, not too wet. Place the cuttings (make a lot of them) in a 4" pot, then place the pot and cuttings in a big ziplock bag.
Every once ina while, open the baggie and let the plants breathe.
It should take about 6 weeks. You may get a handful off successful rooters.
