There are many fragrant plants within the walls of the Chinese garden and along the path toward the Conservatory. I have added a few pictures in the Public Garden forum, but the view and fragrance is better eperienced in person.
Enjoy!!!
Photo is Edgeworthia chrysantha 'Red Dragon' in the Thymelaeceae family and worth bending over to get its scent.
Huntington Chinese Garden opens, see Public Garden forum
I have several tall edgeworthia in bloom now and at night it is wonderful coming into the yard.
It is so easy to propagate.. ..I just literally rip out a twig or two emerging from the bottom and main stem and jam it in the ground ..the next year it has a few leaves and then that next winter --it's blooming.
