I'm looking for clover. I don't care what kind - plain old clover that grows as a weed is fine by me! I always loved the clover that grew alongside the road, and since its so easy to grow I think it'd be nice to have a little carpet of clover in my room.
I'll send postage or trade. :)
CLOSED: Sounds dumb, but I want clover!
If you don't find any, check out any of the larger seed companies. Many of them sell clover seed for use as a living mulch or fall plant to fix nitrogen in the soil. The names of the companies escape me at the moment---especially the large one in California that sells tons of organic stuff.....anyone know which one it is? Might be hard to get it in small amounts, though, but perhaps you could trade away what you don't need....
Peaceful Valley!!! Thats the name of the company--google them and you will come up with them. They sell online or via catalog if you aren't local. You might try listing your request on the organic farming or vege or fruit growers forums, as large scale gardeners or commercial growers might have seed left over from planting in the fall. Hope this helps!
I would be happy to send you some, but we have 3 inches of snow. When it melts I will let you know, the Concervancy is full of it.

doos and donts--whered i get that from--white clover is great if you want to start an area with some--low profile--you dont even have to mow it--puts nitrogen with the soil--if you want honey bees--it will draw scads of them--could be a problem if you did a large area and didnt want a jillion bees----the best place to get it is a grass seed company that makes their own grass and pasture mixes and i mean early in the year---a good sized company might us a thirty pound bag a year as it is not a high yeild plant--if you wanted some i would call around now or early anyway as they dont have it for long---also something nice is if you ever want to get rid of it just spray with some 24d and that will be the end of it as it is a broadleaf--stevo
I'm just growing it more for kicks for the kids.. not an entire lawn! But thanks, anyway godsplace.
Do you have a County Co-op? If so, it should be dirt cheap there. As cheap as the postage you would pay for someone to send it to you.

LOL amy! Well, if you had your heart set on it you still could if you wanted to!
Knowing me, something could go wrong with the clover I get and I could end up with a nice patch of dirt! Even with something as easy to grow as clover!
