Hi I don't have Ambrosia seeds but I did just see them yesterday on a Burpee's display for about a dollar in Home Depot. I was surprised they would have them.

Denton, TX(Zone 7b)

Okay, won't hurt to check out the Home Depot near me....thanks for letting me know.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I have 17 seeds, unfortunately packed for 2004. That said, they germinated fine last year when I grew them. I find melon seed holds fairly well. If you want them, you are welcome to them. They are Burpee Ambrosia Hybrid Cantaloupe. I probably won't grow them this year because I have too many other kinds to try.

BTW, you can see pictures of the plants I grew from the same seed, including the fruits, in PlantFiles under Ambrosia Cantaloupe.

Also, Burpee has them on their website for $2.65 per packet of seed.

Burpee's website is outrageously priced after shipping and handling IMO.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Territorial Seed has Ambrosia for $4.25 a packet (25-40 seeds) so I thought Burpee was the better deal. But then, mine are free, so I guess I'm an even better deal if the age of the seed is not a deal breaker!

Denton, TX(Zone 7b)

Thanks, CMoxon....yes, you do have the best deal. I'm sure they will be fine.. would love to try them. I'll Dmail you my address.

Antoinine, I agree, Burpee's shipping is high. My favorite place to order seed is Baker Creek....shipping is very reasonable.
